Bostic's scores and songs can be heard in productions of award-winning directors and writers. Emmy nominated for her original music in award winning films “Amy Tan: Unintended Memoir and "Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am." Bostic wrote and performed the Toni Morrison film end title song "High Above the Water", which was shortlisted for the Oscars 2020 "Best Original Song." Excerpts of this score were performed by the LA Philharmonic and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Bostic was Artist in Residence for the Chicago Sinfonietta from 2020-2023.

Bostic has written for Broadway, most notably collaborating with the award- winning playwright August Wilson on "Gem of the Ocean."

As an engineer for the nationally syndicated radio programs ROCKLINE and MODERN ROCK LIVE, he quickly rose through the ranks and became a producer. After relocating to NYC, he created and produced NIGHTS WITH ALICE COOPER, expanding its reach from three radio stations in 2003 to over 100 radio stations by 2005. The show is still broadcasting after 19 years on the air, now reaching over 15 countries and hundreds of stations.

In 2006, Dave established The Emergency Room recording studio in Barcelona, later founding the label Whatabout Music to showcase the artists he produced. With over 100 releases and 50 million streams and downloads, the label has gained global acclaim. Dave also served as Program Director for OpenLab FM, as well as opened the recording studios Dry Town and Silo Studio in Barcelona and Sitges, respectively.
